Haverhill Trails Committee, welcomes volunteers. Since 1993, the all volunteer organization has helped maintain Haverhill’s network of trails and conservation areas. Most trail maintenance is done in the spring and fall, last for a few hours and usually does not require any heavy lifting. Tools are provided. The Methuen Rail Trail group, is seeking members to help create a shared use trail for walkers, hikers and cyclists. Methuen needs a safe place for recreation; a place to walk, run and ride without competing with automobiles. The Massachusetts Commandery of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States, is seeking gentlemen who are direct descendants of commissioned officers of the United States Army, Navy or Marine Corps who served in the Civil War, 1861-1865.
