Donate blood at Hampstead drive

HAMPSTEAD — The Knights of Columbus Council 9058 will sponsor a Red Cross blood drive on Friday, June 15, from 1 to 6 p.m. at St Anne's Church on Emerson Avenue.

There is always a need for blood.

Caregivers sponsor ice cream social

SALEM — The Greater Salem Caregivers will be holding an Ice Cream Social on Thursday, June 14,, from 1 to 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Plaistow Center.

Anyone from the Plaistow area who might be interested in becoming a volunteer for the Caregivers is invited.

The Greater Salem Caregivers drive elderly and disabled seniors to medical appointments.

There are many seniors in Plaistow who are in need of a ride, but there are very few volunteers.

The Ice Cream Social would be an opportunity for anyone interested to stop by and find how the program works. The organization would be interested in meeting with retired people, people who work second or third shifts, people who are temporarily out of work and stay-at-home parents.

Spaghetti is on the menu Saturday

HAMPSTEAD — The Knights of Columbus, Maximilian Kolbe Council, will serve an Italian Dinner Saturday at 5 p.m. in St. Anne Church Hall on Emerson Avenue.

The menu includes spaghetti, stuffed manicotti, sausage, salad, rolls and dessert.

Donations are $6 for adults, $3 for children under 12.
