Department of Safety’s Boating Education Class, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Windham Fire Department, 3 Fellows Road. New Hampshire has a mandatory boating education law. Everyone 16 years of age and older who operates a motorboat over 25 horsepower on New Hampshire waters must have a boating education certificate. This program is designed to assist the boating public in having a safer, more enjoyable experience on the water through boating education. There is a $30 non-refundable fee per person for the class. Third annual “Knight of Honor...Rising Star Gala,” 6 to 10 p.m. at the North Andover Country Club, 500 Great Pond Road, North Andover. Hosted by the North Andover Merchants Association (NAMA). The gala will honor and celebrate two graduating seniors pursuing a business degree with a $1,000 scholarship each; award the accomplishments of a young entrepreneur with a $500 check, and award one local business/merchant for their commitment to the North Andover community; this year’s recipient is Dawn Pease of Dawns Sign Tech. The evening festivities will include a dinner, entertainment, silent and live auctions and a cash bar. Merchant sponsorship opportunities are also available. Spring Craft Fair, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Windham High School, London Bridge Road. Sponsored by the Windham Woman’s Club. All items are hand-crafted by more than 55 local artisans. Items for sale include jewelry, glass art, woodworking, baby items, doll and dog clothing, candy, fudge, photography and much more. Find items for Easter, Mother’s Day, weddings, baby showers, graduation, spring and summer birthdays. There will also be a bake sale and raffles.
