NECC Art Exhibit Highlights Whittier’s Birthplace, in Northern Essex Community College’s Bentley Library ArtSpace, 100 Elliott St., Haverhill. Artist Mark Reusch, caretaker of John Greenleaf Whittier’s Birthplace in Haverhill, will present a painting and photography exhibit featuring the 326-year-old property of the famed writer and abolitionist. An opening reception and artist talk will be held March 12, from 3 to 5 p.m. Gallery hours: Monday through Thursday 2 to 9 p.m., Fridays 2 to 5 p.m., and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The exhibit is sponsored by the NECC Art & Design Department.
