Merrimack River Park Cleanup, 8:30 a.m. at the Park. All volunteers are welcome. Pastries, coffee, cold drinks and more will be available. Event will be held weather permitting. Alternate date will be April 12. Email dicksr1@hotmail.com for more information.

Spring Flea Market, 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Trinitarian Congregational Church, 72 Elm St., North Andover. Features 17 dealers, a White Elephant area, a jewelry table, a bakery table and a raffle table. Lunch will be served. The money raised will go to the Building and Maintenance Fund. Dealers wanted. Rent a 9 ft. table for $20. Call 978-886-2191.

April 5 & 6

Open House “Fabulous Basket Raffle,” 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Searles Castle at Windham, 21 Searles Road. Themed baskets valued at approximately $100 to $500 will be on display in each room of the castle. Chances for the baskets are 15 for $10 and include a chance to win an antique crystal bowl. Docents will be in each room giving the history of the room of the castle. Complimentary beverages will be available. Proceeds benefit the Sisters of Mercy/Castle Restoration Fund. Admission is $10, $5 for seniors and children. Tickets will be sold at the ticket window until 3 p.m. Credit cards cannot be accepted. Call 603-890-0458 or email searlescastle@att.net.

SUNDAY, April 6

“Postcards from Around the World: The Orient Express,” 3 p.m. at West Parish Church, 129 Reservation Road, Andover. Performed by Mistral, formerly Andover Chamber Music. All proceeds will support Mistral’s concerts and outreach programs. The 2013-14 concert season is funded in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Tickets are $30 for general admission, $25 for seniors, free for students with ID. Group and family discounts available. Monday, April 7

Free eBooks & eReaders Workshop, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Haverhill Public Library. Learn how to download library eBooks to one’s eReader using the OverDrive Media Console App. This class is open to people with eReaders that have “App” capability. For patrons with other eReaders, one-on-one classes will be offered. Registration will begin on March 24. Classes are limited to eight people. Call 978-373-1586, ext. 608.
