Synchronized swim team to perform at Y

ANDOVER — The Andover/North Andover YMCA's ANA Synchro team, the largest synchronized swim team in the country, will perform Saturday and Sunday at the Andover/North Andover YMCA, 165 Haverhill St.

The show will feature a team of 85 swimmers ranging in age from 7 to 19. The ANA Synchers compete on a national level and have performed throughout the Unites States.

Show times are 3 and 6 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets are $14 for adults, $11, for seniors and $9 for students. Tickets are available at the YMCA or from members of the synchronized swim team.

Ruth's House seeks clothing donations

HAVERHILL — Ruth's House, a non-profit thrift store at 111 Lafayette Square, is in need of donations of gently used clothing in all sizes and types for spring and summer.

Much of the donated clothing is given to clients who are referred by more than 85 agencies and churches in the Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire.

Donations are tax deductible, and donors will be issued receipts for their gifts. Donations can be dropped off on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

Best Buddies fashion show tomorrow

METHUEN — Methuen High School's annual Best Buddies fashion show will take place Friday, March 30, at 6:30 p.m. at the Timony Auditorium. The cost is $3 for students and $5 for adults at the door.

Refreshments will be sold as well as raffle tickets. All monies collected will benefit the program, which establishes friendships with students that have intellectual disabilities with students from the general population of the high school.

Derry lecture focuses on Underground Railroad

DERRY — Derry Public Library will host a talk and slide show on the history of the Underground Railroad particularly in New Hampshire and Massachusetts Tuesday, April 3, at 11 a.m.

The presentation will be given by Eleanor Strang, retired director of Kelley Library in Salem.

YMCA Easter egg hunt is Saturday

HAVERHILL — The Haverhill YMCA will hold a free Easter egg hunt and scramble Saturday at 9 a.m. at Pentucket Lake Elementary School, 252 Concord St. The Easter bunny will make a visit. More information is available from Ryan Allen at allenr@northshoreymca.org or 978-374-0506, ext. 1604.

Sign Language story time Saturday

ANDOVER —- Members of Quota International of Andover will host a Story Time for children ages 4 to 10, with parents, at the North Andover Steven's Memorial Library on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Sign language interpreters will sign a selection of children's books. Many children are interested in learning sign language at an early age.

The service mission of Quota International focuses on the hearng impaired and many clubs provide scholarships for deaf persons or for students planning careers related to speech and hearing.

Rabies clinic Saturday

ANDOVER — The Andover Animal Hospital, 233 Lowell St., will host a rabies clinic for pets Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The cost is $10.

Learn about Revere's wife at Windham talk

WINDHAM — Storyteller Joan Gatturna presents "The Other Side of the Midnight Ride: A visit with Rachael Revere, wife of Paul Revere" at the April 4 meeting of the Woman's Club at 11:30 a.m. at Town Hall. The 1 p.m. program is open to the public. The program is funded by the New Hampshire Humanities Council.

Gubernatorial hopeful to visit Derry

DERRY— Gubernatorial candidate Ovide Lamontagne will speak at Halligan's Tavern on April 3. The event, hosted by the Derry Republican Town Committee, is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Halligan's is at 32 W. Broadway.
