Activities include face painting by Kimberly Connell from The Painted Pineta, trick-or-treating around the library with book characters and Halloween crafts. Bring some food, take some food at the Potluck Dinner. Also includes a screening of “ParaNorman” at 5:30 p.m. Parents are encouraged to bring a spooky potluck dish for dinner. Self-Defense for Kids, noon at the Kingston Community Library. Join Master Kelly from Alpha Tae-Kwon-Do and Fitness for a lesson in self defense. Children will have a lesson in basic kicking, punching, stances, and self defense. Master Kelly and five of her students will demonstrate these techniques and all participants will have a go at breaking a board. Bring a water bottle and wear loose clothes. For ages 6-12.
