Soles of Haverhill 2014 — Fashion Forward will host an Artist-Sponsor Mixer, at the Sage Gallery, 136 Washington St., Haverhill. Sponsored by Team Haverhill, the event will introduce interested potential sponsors and the public to the 30 professional artists from around the state who have submitted 12-inch cardboard mock-ups for the shoe sculptures to be exhibited next year. After sponsors select their preferred designs, artists will receive fiberglass shoe sculpture forms in early December, ready for artistic transformation. The completed shoes will be placed in and around downtown in spring 2014 for a summer-long public art installation. Sponsorship benefit packages can be customized to meet strategic business goals and can include: logo credit on exhibition materials, opportunities to create marketing promotions, and special VIP events. Arts educators at local schools hope that a few generous donors will step forward to sponsor shoes on their behalf, so that students and teachers can participate in this public art event by designing and painting shoe forms to exhibit.
