Free masters workshop in the art of piano playing, 4 to 6 p.m. in the Hartleb Technology Center, Northern Essex Community College, 100 Elliot St., Haverhill. With NECC music faculty member Christina Dietrich. Piano players will have the chance to perform and learn in a cooperative group setting. Solo piano works and instrumental and vocal works with piano accompaniment of various levels of difficulty will be explored. Various aspects of piano performance and preparation will also be discussed. Students at all levels of playing ability are welcome to attend. Email email@example.com.
Methuen SEPAC’s Third Annual Recreational & Resource Fair, 3 to 6 p.m. at the Comprehensive Grammar School, Methuen. The family-friendly event will include information about family support services, sports and recreational programs, the Eunice Kennedy-Shriver Foundation, educational and tutoring services, social building, legal and advocacy, financial planning, assistance dogs, summer camps and programs and more. The event will also feature Pink Tree Sweets Bakery, Merrimack Valley Academy of Tennis, Executive Function Coach, Autism Speaks, Baystate Financial, Giordano’s Karate, Methuen Police and Wojo Photo Photography by Kristen. There will also be entertainment and treats by Maurice and Acacia from Circus Dynamics, air brush tattoos, face painting, pizza, arts and crafts, a Taekwondo demonstration, Rachel Gregorio, a caricature artist, and prizes. Join Main Street Youth Initiative for Prom-A-Palooza, 3 to 5 p.m. at BrookRidge Community Church, 232 Main St., Haverhill. How-to hair and make-up workshops will be given by local hair and make-up professionals to teach girls some tips to help them get ready on their big night.
