On the 4th itself, crafters will be on the Common from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Live bands will be playing and martial arts demonstrations will take place.
Pony rides will be offered both days, Coco said, as will children's amusements and carnival-style games.
The Cochichewick Lodge of Masons, 19 Johnson St., will serve a pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. on the 4th.
The Borderline Running Club is doing an unofficial run, starting at 8 a.m. Runners will line up in front of the Printing Museum, 800 Massachusetts Ave., and can choose between the 10-kilometer run and the 5-kilometer course, according to Chris Marshall, a representative of the club.
