The Atkinson Lions Club & Atkinson Boy Scout Troop 9, planted three trees at the Woodlock Recreation Playground area. Sandown Garden Club's annual Plant Sale, will be held on Saturday, June 2. Club members will go to residents' homes and divide established perennials to sell at the sale. Proceeds from the sale will be used by the club for various town projects. For those who would like to give their perennials a fresh start this year, call Fran Rosenau at 887-5131. She will schedule a time to divide those perennials that need a little help this spring. Call early to schedule a dig before the club's plant quota is reached. Quota International of Lawrence, offers two scholarships to high school students. The scholarships will be awarded based on need, hardship and community involvement. Students who attend Lawrence High School, Methuen High School, North Andover High School, Central Catholic High School, Presentation of Mary Academy, The Greater Lawrence Vocational School and Notre Dame Academy are eligible to apply for these scholarships. Applications are available in the schools' Guidance Offices.
