Keith Lockhart & Friends, 7:30 p.m. at the Collins Center for the Performing Arts at Andover High School. This event is presented by the Northern Essex Community College Foundation, Inc., the Women of NECC, and the NECC Alumni Association. Proceeds will benefit NECC’s Endowment Fund. Lockhart will present a talk on composer Igor Stravinsky’s “The Soldier’s Tale,” illustrated by periodic interludes of music performed by a group of seven musicians. 2013 ConvenientMD 10K, 8:30 a.m. beginning at the Windham Depot, 6 Depot Road. Food and refreshments will be served after the race. Includes a $100 cash prize to the top male and female, as well as age group awards. The race will start and finish at the Windham Depot. This is a paved rail trail that is generally shaded and passes along wetlands, through ledges and has no road crossings. Registration required. roadracerunner.com.

Alzheimer’s Association Northeastern Massachusetts Walk to End Alzheimer’s, beginning and ending at Brickstone Square in Andover. Form a team or walk as an individual. The money raised will help to provide care and support for individuals and families touched by Alzheimer’s and to fund Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Volunteers are needed to help with pre-walk preparations, help hang posters or distribute flyers. alzwalkMANH.org.

North Andover Merchants Association’s Third Annual Fall Festival, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the grounds of the North Andover Knights of Columbus, 505 Sutton St. Offers an opportunity for small businesses to promote themselves, their services and products. The festival will include craft exhibitors, music, children’s games and activities, a bounce house, a beer and wine tent, and more. Applications are now being accepted for food vendors, merchants and crafters. Booth space for merchants/crafters is $25 for NAMA members, $50 for nonmembers. Food vendor fee is $50 for NAMA members, $100 for nonmembers. A food permit is required from the Town of North Andover.
