Community Action Inc.’s annual fundraising event — “Comedy for a Cause,” at the Haverhill Country Club, 58 Brickett Lane. This comedy triple-header features Boston favorites Graig Murphy, Carolyn Plummer and Jim Lauletta, along with a live auction and raffles. Annual Free Market, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 471 Main St., Haverhill. Hosted by The Vine, in partnership with Good Shepherd. Customers are given tickets to pay for purchases, but everything is free. The public is invited. A free bread and soup lunch will be served. The two organizations are looking for donations of household goods and clothing to make available for free to the Haverhill community. Televisions, computers or large pieces of furniture cannot be accepted.
