Join Jumpstart, to make a difference in the lives of preschool children in Lawrence. Jumpstart is looking for volunteers to help preschool children prepare for Kindergarten. Volunteers will work in a preschool classroom two mornings a week with a team of peers/community members, receive free training and professional development (leadership opportunities available), and earn a stipend or education award over $1,000. Ballroom Dance Lessons, offered by the Andover Department of Community Services. These lessons are open to everyone, with levels from beginner to advanced. Call 978-623-8276 to register. For questions about the program, call Tom Webster, the instructor, at 978-501-4847.

Vegetarian Cooking Group getting started, for people living in Andover. If there is sufficient interest, then an initial meeting will be scheduled in the library. Anyone interested in participating or learning more about vegetarian cooking may email vegcookinginandover@gmail.com.

Teen Ink, meets on the third Thursday of each month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Kimball Library in Atkinson for creative writing. Open to teens ages 13 and up. For more information, email Kathy Watson at youngadult@kimballlibrary.com.

Tween Book Club, meets the first Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Kimball Library, 3 Academy Ave., Atkinson, N.H. All interested middle school students are welcome, (grades 6-8). Baby Play Group, meets the first Wednesday of each month at the Kimball Library, 3 Academy Ave., Atkinson. For babies ages birth to 24 months. Enjoy music, books and toys while mingling with other parents, grandparents and caregivers. No registration is required.
