Club News


The North Andover Rotary Club, a nonprofit organization, meets every Thursday at 7:30 a.m. in the Edgewood Retirement Community cafeteria. All are welcome.

Whist Club, meets every Monday at 1 p.m. at the Community Center, Route 121, Atkinson. New players welcome. Cost is $2 to play. Prizes are offered. For more information, call Ken Collins at 603-382-4437.

The Hampstead Civic Club Chess Club, will meet on Fridays from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. in the Hampstead Civic Club building, located next to Town Hall. The chess club is free and open to all Hampstead residents in grades 3-12. For more information, call Charlie Backman at 603-329-5867.

A Conversational English Group, will meet on Mondays from 10 a.m. to noon at the Memorial Hall Library, 2 North Main St., Andover. This group is for students who have studied formal English and would like to practice their speaking and listening skills. Sponsored by the Friends of Memorial Hall Library. The Sandown Mother’s Club, a nonprofit organization for working or stay-at-home moms, is seeking new members. Open to moms interested in going to local playgroups, children’s outings and girls’ night out events or who want to be active in community fundraising. The Hampstead Garden Club meets monthly, usually on the third Wednesday of each month at Hadley Hall, Congregational Church, Main Street, Hampstead, N.H., or at other designated venues. The nonprofit educational organization encourages an interest in all aspects of gardening, promotes civic beauty and the conservation of natural resources. Hampstead residency is not required.
