Square Foot Gardening for the Family, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Derry Public Library, 64 East Broadway, Derry. Rockingham County Master Gardener Laurie O’Connor will present a program on the technique of Square Foot Gardening, developed by Mel Bartholomew. This intensive gardening method calls for a raised bed filled with a blend of compost, vermiculite and peat moss, and makes possible the growing of a lot of vegetables and fruits in a small space.
