Organ Recital: Henry Lowe, 8 p.m. at the Methuen Memorial Music Hall, 192 Broadway, Route 28. Works by Widor, Simonds, Bach, Buxtehude, Vierne and Duruflé will be featured. This performance is in memory of Lawrence Allen Young. Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for children. Tickets will be available at the door. American Red Cross Blood Drive, 2 to 7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 462 Broadway, Methuen. All eligible and new blood donors are encouraged to give blood. Blood donors will have a chance to win two Boston Red Sox tickets and to be honored at Fenway Park as the “Blood Donor of the Game.” Prizes are non-transferrable and not redeemable for cash. An Evening with Best-selling Author Nancy Thayer, 6:30 p.m. at the Nevins Memorial Library, 305 Broadway, Methuen. Thayer, whose works include “The Hot Flash Club” series, “Summer Breeze” and “Heat Wave,” will talk about her latest novel, “Nantucket Sisters.” Books will be available for sale and for signing.
