An Evening with Best-selling author Dorothea Benton-Frank, 6:30 p.m. at the Nevins Memorial Library, 305 Broadway, Methuen. Benton-Frank’s works include “Sullivan’s Island,” “Pawleys Island,” “Porch Lights” and “The Last Original Wife.” Benton-Frank will discuss her latest novel, “The Hurricane Sisters.” Books will be available for sale and for signing. Nevins PACE and Adult Day Health host Open House, 4 to 6 p.m. at 12 Ingalls Court, Methuen. Summer drinks and hors d’ouevres will be served. PACE is provided through Elder Service Plan of the North Shore, a nonprofit organization that opened its seventh site last November at Nevins Adult Day Health in Methuen.
