Second Annual Memorial School 5K Run or Walk & Fun Run, beginning and ending at the Newton Memorial School, 31 West Main St. Open to the whole community. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m., Fun Run at 9:30 a.m., walkers at 10 a.m., runners at 10:30 a.m. Includes carnival games, face painting, bouncy house, food, raffle prizes and more. All proceeds will benefit the Newton Memorial School PTO. Registration fee is $15 before Sept. 15, $20 after Sept. 15 and on the day of the race. No entry fee for the Fun Run (ages 3-11). Second annual Fall Festival, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the grounds of the North Andover Knights of Columbus, 505 Sutton St. Hosted by the North Andover Merchants Association (NAMA). Food vendors, merchants and crafters are sought. Rain or shine. Also includes live music, children’s games and activities, a haunted house for all ages, hay rides, a beer and wine tent, an evening bonfire and hot chocolate at dusk. Booth space for merchants/crafters is $25 for members, $50 for nonmembers. Food vendor fee is $50 for members and $100 for nonmembers. A food permit is required from the town.
