Summer 2013 Art Camp, 9 to 11 a.m. in the Municipal Center, Sherburne Hall, 6 Village Green, Pelham. The art class is open to girls and boys ages 6 and up. No experience needed for beginner class. Size of groups is limited; first come, first served. The course, with instructor Alanna Beauregard and assistant instructor Sara Passamonte, will explore art in nature outdoors using watercolor, pen and ink, charcoal, photography, mosaic and more. Materials will be provided. Cost is $105 per Person, $10 discount for additional family members. Participants should wear comfortable clothing, as clothing may be permanently stained. Beginning June 24

Summer Blacktop Basketball, six-week program, on the Lyons Park outdoor courts. Teams will be coed and consist of 6-8 players. The program is open to boys and girls ages 9-17. Players will be divided into age appropriate groups once registration is closed. Each team will play one game a week. No practices. Game times will be from 6 to 7 p.m. All games will be played on weekday nights. No weekends. Games will be played four on four. Cost is $40 per player, includes a T-shirt. Check the website for cancellations. T-shirts will be handed out at the first game. Skateboard Camp, 9 a.m. to noon at the Dennis Lyons Park-Skate Park, Marsh Road, Pelham. Instructional camp with Pelham’s EJ Martin. Open to girls and boys ages 6 and up. Learn the correct stance, turning, kick turning, stopping, as well as how to do 180’s and fall properly, learn to ride fakie and do simple maneuvers, ride curbs, ollies, jumps, learn how to drop on ramps, slide rails, ramp tricks and more. Space is limited; first come, first served. Bring skateboard, knee and elbow pads, helmet (required), and a water bottle. pelhamweb.com/recreation.
