Merrimack Valley Alzheimer’s Conference, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Technology Center at Northern Essex Community College, 100 Elliot St., Haverhill. “Caregiving With Confidence — Where to Start and How to Continue” will include speakers, panel discussions, caregiver conversations, exhibits, lunch and activities. The conference is free to any family member or friend who is caring for someone with Alzheimer’s Disease. Respite care for the person with Alzheimer’s Disease will be available at no charge on site during the conference if needed. Although there is no cost for family caregivers, reservations are needed. Call Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley, family caregiver program, at 800-892-0890. Clinicians and other professional caregivers are welcome to attend the conference for a fee of $75, which includes continuing education units (CEUs) for nurses and social workers. The conference is presented by the Merrimack Valley Alzheimer’s Partnership, a coalition of health and human service agencies.

2014 Student Art Exhibit, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Buttonwoods Museum, 240 Water St., Haverhill. Presented by the Greater Haverhill Arts Association (GHAA), the exhibit is open to all high school and college students. The first entry is free for GHAA members, $2 for each entry for nonmembers (limit of three). (May be applied to membership). Deadline to enter is April 23. Free Concert, 4 p.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 35 Essex St., Lawrence. The New England Classical Singers, joined by the Lawrence High Girls Ensemble, will present “The Seven Last Words Of Christ” by Dubois. Barbara Kilduff, a renowned soprano, will be among the soloists. The free concert is supported by the Catherine McCarthy Memorial Trust. Call 978-683-8222.

Spring Sprint Duathlon, 8:30 a.m. at Smolak Farms, 315 South Bradford St., North Andover. Proceeds from the bike/run event will benefit the Herman Youth Center in North Andover. Admission is $80 and $125. Call 978-891-0525.
