Plaistow Lions Club’s Annual Golf Tournament, will be held on Saturday, May 17, at the Granite Fields Golf Club in Kingston. The entry fee is $100 per player and includes greens fees, cart, range balls, cash prizes for winners and dinner. There will also be $1,000 in raffle prizes. All are welcome, including single players. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. All proceeds will benefit the Plaistow Lions’ charities. The Hampstead Civic Club (HCC), needs help designing a new logo. The contest is for Hampstead children in grades 1-12. Home school students are also welcome. The HCC will use the winning logo and give the winner $300 and free entry for one year into anything organized by the organization. Runners up will each receive $100 and free entry for one year into anything organized by the HCC. Postmark entries by May 30. Winners will be announced at the 2014 Independence Day Festival.
