Andover Garden Club to present “Petals & Palettes on a Sunday Afternoon,” noon to 5 p.m. at the Essex Art Center, Lower Level, 56 Island St., Lawrence. The event will feature artists, floral design, live music, art for sale, as well as appetizers and beverages. More than 70 pieces will be displayed, including sculpture, watercolor, oil painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, and fiber arts. The Fidelio Society’s spring concert, 2 p.m. in Cochran Chapel, on the Phillips Academy campus, 180 Main St., Andover. Healthy Kids Running Series, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at AVIS-West Parish Meadow, off Reservation Road, Andover. Pre-K will do the 50 yard dash, kindergarten and first grade will do the 1/4 mile, second and third graders will do the 1/2 mile, fourth and fifth graders and middle school students will do the one mile race. Top placers in each race will receive points based on their finish. The boy and girl racer with the most points at the end of the series will win a trophy and a prize. Open registration for Pentucket Players’ Summer Children’s Theatre Workshop, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at their loft on the fifth floor of the Washington Mill Building, 250 Canal St., Lawrence.
