Artists and crafters are invited to participate in an Artwalk area that will be part of the Wingate Street Community Block Party on June 2 from noon to 4 p.m.
All art and cultural exhibit spaces are approximately 10 by 10 feet and are in an outdoor setting. Artists and crafters must furnish their own tent, table and any other booth set-up items that are needed, including labor. Exhibitors are required to clean up their area before leaving. No stakes may be driven into the pavement. Shims may be needed. Electricity is not available and exhibitors display at their own risk. Check-in and set-up begins at 10 a.m., unless otherwise noted. Lebanese Awareness dinner June 9
The American Lebanese Awareness Association will hold its 29th annual Scholarship/Installation of Officers Banquet June 9 at Michael's Function Hall, 12 Alpha St.

YMCA offers special summer rates
The Merrimack Valley YMCA offers three-month summer memberships at special rates.
Senior citizen and young adult summer membership is $70. Young adult memberships began May 1. Adult membership is $75. Family membership is $99. Other summer memberships include: Preschool ($27), youth ($40) and teen ($65). Summer memberships will be available June 1 through Aug. 31. There is no joiner fee for this special promotion and it is only available for new Merrimack Valley YMCA members. Membership includes the use of two pools in Andover and one in Lawrence, the use of basketball courts and gymnasiums, access to more than 50 group exercise classes each week, family nights and other activities. Free workshops on managing diabetes
BOXFORD — The Boxford Council on Aging, 4 Middleton Road, is offering a free six-week workshop June 12 to July 17 on diabetes management.

Refuge offers photo camp for teens
Parker River National Wildlife Refuge will hold its second annual digital nature photography day camp for high school-age youth the week of July 16 to 20 at the refuge in Newburyport.
Each participant will be provided with a loaner digital single-lens reflex camera and will spend the week learning and practicing the fundamentals of photographic exposure and composition while capturing images of wildlife and their habitats. Each camper must provide and use their own laptop computer (either Windows or Mac). A free image editing program will be identified for downloading by the camp director and instruction will be provided by refuge staff and members of the Photographic Society of Parker River National Wildlife Refuge.
Each camper will create a portfolio of images — with one image included in a public display in the refuge visitor center. Applicants must be entering grades nine through 12 in the fall or be of equivalent age if home-schooled. Ten applicants will be selected by lottery to participate. Tuition is $75. Application forms, which must be submitted by June 6, are available by emailing matt_poole@fws.gov.
