Village Garden Club of Andover’s annual plant sale, 9 a.m. to noon at 170 Elm St., Andover. A wide selection of perennials and potted plants will be available for purchase from members’ gardens. Also, club members will be on hand to answer gardening questions. Rain date is June 2.

Public Safety Day, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the town common, South Hampton. Includes demonstrations from the South Hampton Fire Department, South Hampton Police Department and K9 Unit. Other activities include a bouncy house, car seat safety inspections, appearances by Sparky the Fire Dog, and McGruff the Crime Dog. Fifth Annual Relay For Life Methuen/Merrimack Valley, 2 p.m. at the Methuen High School track. The overnight relay event raises money for cancer research through the American Cancer Society. To participate, donate, start or join a team, visit main.acsevents.org. A registration fee is required to participate, but can be paid on the day of the relay. 781-314-2643.

Sunday, June 2

Pancake Breakfast, 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 37 Main St., Salem, N.H. Hosted by the Knights of Columbus and Kiwanis of Salem. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Salem. The menu will consist of scrambled eggs, french toast, pancakes, sausages and beans. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children, $12 for a family of three or more.
