Open Auditions For Nutcracker Ballet, 10 a.m. at the New England Civic Ballet (NECB) studio, 4 Dracut St., Lawrence. Call or go online for age levels and times as well as proper dress attire. Arrive early for the time slot to register and warm-up. All dancers, ages 8 to adult, are invited to audition regardless of one’s dance school affiliation. Rehearsals will mainly be on Sundays, except for the week of production. There is a $15 registration fee but no production fee. Selected dancers will dance in all four performances, Dec. 13, 14 and 15 at the Rogers Center for the Performing Arts on the Merrimack College Campus, North Andover. Sports Cards and Red Sox Autograph Show, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Gaythorne K of C Hall, 462 Broadway, Methuen. Includes dealer tables of sports cards and memorabilia for sale. Tommy Harper will sign autographs from 10 a.m. to noon. Admission is $2, $12 for autographs. Call 508-265-4440.

Free workshop on downloading eBooks, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Haverhill Public Library. Learn how to download library eBooks to the eReader using the OverDrive Media Console App. This class is open to anyone with eReaders that have “App” capability. The library is offering one-on-one classes for patrons with other eReaders. Classes are limited to eight people. Registration will open on Aug. 26, at 9 a.m. 978-373-1586, ext. 608.
