Buttonwoods' Past Finders program

HAVERHILL — The Past Finders summer program at the Buttonwoods Museum begins July 10. Now in its 22nd season, Past Finders is a day program for children in grades 1 to 7 and is designed to teach children about history in a fun and imaginative way. Morning drop off begins at 9 a.m. and pick up is at 4 p.m. Session 1, Come Sail Away, is July 10 to 13. Activities include fishing, exploring the Buttonwoods Trail, sailor crafts, cooking, and a sail on the gundalow Piscataqua. Session 2, Fun on the Farm, is Aug. 7 to 10. Participants will garden, cook with seasonal fruits and vegetables, learn homespun crafts and visit a farm museum. Cost for each session is $160. Children may sign up for one or both sessions.
