Merrimack Valley Community Music School’s Winter Recital, 3 p.m. at South Church, 41 Central St., Andover. Students and faculty will perform individually and in various ensemble groupings. MVCMS Flute Choir and MVCMS Blues Jam will be featured during the recital. The Flute Choir and Blues Jam both have openings for new members. The recital is free and open to the public.

The choirs (Training for ages 7-9, Concert for ages 9-13 and Schola for ages 13-18) rehearse on Monday evenings at West Parish. “My Own Voice,” the choir for children with special needs, rehearses on Tuesday nights. Seventh Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration & Brunch, 11 a.m. at the Andover Baptist Church, 7 Central St., Andover. The keynote speaker will be Damon Y.
