St. Anne Summerfest, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Hampstead Town Green. Activities include a five-mile road race, a 5K fun walk, baking contest, children’s games, food and bake sales, a bounce tent, live entertainment, silent auction, and raffles. The Summerfest has been carefully planned to attract people of all ages. Crafters and artists are encouraged to sign up. Spaces are 10’ x 10’ (no chairs or tables will be provided) and cost $40 for an uncovered space and $50 for a covered space. 21st Annual Lakes Road Race & Fun Walk, 9 a.m. beginning at St. Anne Church, 26 Emerson Ave., Hampstead. The five-mile race is on a USATF certified course. Check-in and same-day registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Trophies will be presented to the top three runners from each age and sex division: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and over. There will also be refreshments after the race. Pre-registration is $25 and includes a Table Talk Pie and official race T-shirt. Toddler Story Time, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. or 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Nesmith Library, 8 Fellows Road, Windham. This program is only open to cardholders of the Nesmith Library. Toddler Time lasts about 20-25 minutes with 30 minutes following the session for parent/child social interaction. Parents are encouraged to participate, but asked to limit personal conversations until the 30-minute social period. For ages 18 months to 36 months with a caregiver.
