Keith Lockhart & Friends, 7:30 p.m. at the Collins Center for the Performing Arts at Andover High School. This event is presented by the Northern Essex Community College Foundation, Inc., the Women of NECC, and the NECC Alumni Association. Proceeds will benefit NECC’s Endowment Fund. Lockhart will present a talk on composer Igor Stravinsky’s “The Soldier’s Tale,” illustrated by periodic interludes of music performed by a group of seven musicians. Sunday, Sept. 29

2013 ConvenientMD 10K, 8:30 a.m. beginning at the Windham Depot, 6 Depot Road. Food and refreshments will be served after the race. Includes a $100 cash prize to the top male and female, as well as age group awards. The race will start and finish at the Windham Depot. This is a paved rail trail that is generally shaded and passes along wetlands, through ledges and has no road crossings. Registration required. roadracerunner.com.
