Free Concert, “Red, White and Blue Festival,” 2 p.m. at the Methuen Memorial Music Hall, 192 Broadway, Route 28. Organist Chandler Noyes will perform a collection of marches and patriotic music. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. 978-685-0693, mmmh.org.

Fourth of July Celebration, on the North Andover Common. Children’s Fun Run begins at 8 a.m. 5K Road Race by Borderline Running Club begins at 8:30 a.m., 10K begins at 8:35 a.m. Other activities include the Cochichewick Lodge Pancake Breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m., crafters from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., food vendors from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., VFW beer tent from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Bicycle and Doll Carriage Parade at noon, as well as live entertainment and a dunk tank. Children’s amusements by “All about Fun.”

Thursday’s Monday Night Knitters, 7 to 9 p.m. in the Kelly Room, at the Kelley Library, 234 Main St., Salem, N.H. Join in conversation, knitting and crocheting. New faces are always welcome. 603-898-7064.
