Public Forum with Mayor Zanni, 10:45 a.m. to noon at the Methuen Senior Activity Center, 77 Lowell St. The September forum will include Methuen’s city treasurer, Ann Guastaferro, and city assessor, Michele Mastrangelo. Guastaferro and Mastrangelo will give an overview of what the city assessor’s and treasurer’s offices do and the services they provide. They will also detail the local tax policy and different programs that are available to residents. All are invited to attend.

Fundraiser features talks on the paranormal, 6:30 p.m. to midnight at the Roma Restaurant, Haverhill. The nonprofit Clean River Project is raising funds to help in its clean up of the Merrimack River. Includes a talk by members of Visions of the Paranormal who will show evidence of ghostly apparitions they photographed during their investigations. Psychic-medium April Sheerin will conduct readings and discuss the afterlife. Paranormal investigator Karen Mossey will discuss her experiences with Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP).
