The Samuel Osgood Stamp Club, meets at 7:30 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of each month (except in July and August when meetings are on the third Wednesday only), at the Sutton Hill Center, Route 114, North Andover. There is a brief club business discussion at the start of each meeting, with presentations on the third Wednesday, and an open discussion on the first Wednesday. A bourse is usually available prior to and after each meeting and an auction normally follows the meeting. The club also sponsors an annual exhibition and dealers bourse, called SOPEX. Sandown Lions Club Begins Loaning Hooked on Phonics Learn-to-Read Program, the Sandown Lions Club, N.H., has purchased a Hooked-on-Phonics Classic learn-to-read program. This simple but highly effective program will be loaned to any Sandown resident with a child under 15 years old. The loan period is for three months. Great Stone Face Book Club, meets on the second Tuesday of the month, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Pelham Public Library, 24 Village Green, Pelham, N.H. Open to grades 4-6. The Derry VFW Ladies Auxiliary, are participating in a drive to collect items to send to the troops. The Auxiliary has adopted four units to send items oversees to. They are in need of personal hygiene items. Members also like to include non-perishable snacks. Any help is greatly appreciated. Those who cannot get to the store, but want to contribute, may make a donation. Checks can be made payable to the Derry Memorial Auxiliary; members will purchase the supplies.
