Timberlane-Hampstead-Sanborn Retired Educators Association (THS-REA) meeting, 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 120 Main St., Plaistow. “Braving the Middle Ground: Stories of Pre-Revolutionary Northern New England”will be the theme of Dr. Jo Radner’s presentation. This presentation is open to the public and donations are welcome. Miklos Jako, author of “Computer How-To for Normal People,” will give a one hour presentation on solving 20 common computer aggravations. Cost is $3. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited. Spinning with Wool and Knitting with Yarn, 7 p.m. at the Nevins Memorial Library, 305 Broadway, Methuen. Miss Amy and Miss Shirley will bring in some of the tools and tricks to show attendees the art of spinning wool into yarn and then taking that yarn and making it into cloth. These accomplished artists will share the experience of taking wool from the sheep and bringing it all the way to a finished garment or blanket.
