Gubernatorial forum scheduled in Salem

SALEM — The Southern New Hampshire Gubernatorial Economic Forum will be Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Tuscan Kitchen restaurant on Main Street.

Republican gubernatorial candidates Ovide Lamontagne and Kevin Smith have confirmed they will participate.

Salem and Windham business leaders will host the event.

Democratic chairman to speak in Atkinson

ATKINSON — The June meeting of the Atkinson Democrats will take place on Wednesday, June 13, at 7 p.m. at SarahCare Adult Day Services at Hampstead Commons at the intersection of Routes 121 and 111.

The guest speaker for the June Meeting is Ray Buckley, chairman of the New Hampshire Democratic Party.

He will talk about the reality of the Republican-dominated Legislature and the policies the Republicans have introduced.

Attend this meeting and also learn who will be Atkinson's Democrat candidate for the New Hampshire House of Representatives.

All residents are welcome to attend.

Windham PTA hosts electronics collection

WINDHAM — The Windham PTA will host an electronics collection day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Windham High, 64 London Bridge Road.

Television disposal costs from $10 to $25, computer monitors $10, and cell phones, VCRs and computer equipment are $5.

It's free for clothing, fluorescent bulbs and thermostats.

The event is cosponsored by Covanta Energy of Haverhill and LL&S Waste Wood Processing in Salem.

Middle School students honored in Windham

WINDHAM — Jonathan Ferri and Kelsey Kendzulak of Windham Middle School were honored recently with Middle Level Scholar Leader Awards.
