“Autumn Harvest in New England” Cooking Class, 6 to 9 p.m. at Whittier Vocational School, Haverhill. This hands-on class will incorporate seasonal recipes, classic cooking techniques, and local farm foods to create a harvest dinner to be savored by all. Thursday, Oct. 3

“School of Hard Rocks,” 6:30 p.m. at the Kingston Community Library. Learn about rocks, gems and geology from the Seacoast Science Center. This program has hands-on activities that will teach children different types of rocks, classifying rocks and how rocks are made. Each child in attendance will receive a free admission pass to the Seacoast Science Center and a bookmark. Recommended for grades 1-5. Free, but registration is required. Call 603-642-3521.


Free outdoor Latin Dance Event, 6 to 9 p.m. at the Campagnone Common Park, Lawrence. The mission is to provide free and safe entertainment to the community. Sponsored by the City of Lawrence.


Gentle Yoga Class, 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at First Church Congregational, 26 Pleasant St., Methuen. All ages and all fitness levels welcome. Stretch and relax the mind.
