Part of the program “Bridging Cultures: Understanding the Middle East and What it Means Today.” The series is made possible by grants from the American Library Association and National Endowment for the Humanities and from the New Hampshire Humanities Council. Brenda (Pierro) Savary Benefit, 7 p.m. to midnight at Relief’s In, 1 Market St., Lawrence. Savary, a North Andover resident, suffered severe head trauma after a fall at her home and has been hospitalized ever since. Event will offer raffles, a silent auction and hors d’oeuvres. This fundraiser will help alleviate some of the financial burden imposed on her family. Tickets are $20.
