Friends of the Kimball Library, meets the third Wednesday of each month at the library, 3 Academy Ave., Atkinson. Made up of volunteers, the group raises money for items above and beyond the normal library budget. The group sponsors the Peddler’s Market, holds book sales, provides speakers, children’s programming, purchases museum passes and books for children and teens, and plans trips to Tanglewood. The Methuen Youth Hockey Association (MYHA), is accepting skaters of all age levels for the travel team program. Full-season tuition is $1,400. MYHA offers local Valley League play, practice time, and skills workshops by Hi-Skills Hockey and Ed Walsh Hockey Schools.
