BOSTON (AP) — Democrat Maura Healey has won the race for Massachusetts attorney general, topping Republican John Miller to become the nation's first openly gay candidate elected to the top law enforcement job.

ANDOVER — State Sen. Barry Finegold lost his bid for state treasurer Tuesday, falling short in the Democratic primary by about 52,000 votes to former Brookline selectman and Stop & Shop executive Deb Goldberg in a three-way race to succeed Steve Grossman, whose bid for governor also ended.
