---- — NEWTON — Two longtime public servants are seeking election to Rockingham House District 15.
Five-term incumbent Mary Allen is looking to hold onto her seat for another term. The Republican is being challenged by Democrat Robert Bartlett. The election is Nov. 6.
Allen served on the House Finance Committee and the Finance Subcommittee during her last term. She was first elected in 2002. District 15 only represents Newton.
The two candidates have served their town in various elected positions over the years, including the Planning Board. Bartlett was also appointed to the Conservation Commission, serving as its chairman.
Both ran unopposed in the primary Sept. 11.
