Five arrested in drug raid

HAVERHILL — Police raided a home that has been the subject of neighbors' complaints and arrested five people on drug charges yesterday, according to a press release.

Police raided the second-floor apartment at 110 Blaisdell St. around 5:30 p.m. They seized crack, heroin, suboxone and about 50 more assorted painkillers, said a police department press release.

The home is located across the street from All Saints Church and Swasey Field, and St. Joseph School and Tilton School are within a two-block radius. Police have made prostitution and drug arrests there in the past year, the press release said.

Police charged the following with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, knowingly being present where heroin is kept, and school/park drug zone violations: Angel Vasquez, 55, of 110 Blaisdell St. second floor; Megan Diamond, 22, of 110 Blaisdell St. second floor; and Jaclyn Carrier, 19, of 111 Old Gage Hill Road, Pelham, N.H.

Police also charged Carrier with possession of class E prescription drugs with intent to distribute. Vasquez is a convicted drug dealer, so police charged him with subsequent offenses for heroin and cocaine, the press release said.

Police charged Nathan Caron, 22, and Anthony Palla, 21, both of 1 Garfield St., with being present where heroin is kept and possession of cocaine, the press release said.

Police held all five suspects without bail overnight, pending their arraignment in Haverhill District Court today.
