Rockfest at Winnekenni Castle Saturday

The Boston band “Leaving Eden,” in conjunction with former pro-wrestler Steve Chamberland of the 50 Legs Foundation, will present Leaving Eden Rockfest 2013 on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Winnekenni Castle.

This all-day, all-ages family-friendly event is a benefit for the Florida-based 50 Legs Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Chamberland which raises money to provide prosthetics for children.

Leaving Eden — along with local rockers including Elextacy, Inner Child, 4x4 Barracuda, Preciphist, Of The Past, the Judas Priest tribute band “Hell Bent For Judas,” Guns 4 Destruction, the Alice N’ Chains tribute band “Again” and Epicenter — will perform all day at the event in support of 50 Legs.

WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Jimmy Hart, former member of the band “The Gentrys,” whose hit singles included “Cinnamon Girl” in 1970, will perform with Leaving Eden in a special cameo appearance. This event is sponsored by Seaboard Products and Budweiser, The Music Workshop, Jagermeister and Frank FM 106.3.

This event will feature a Renaissance theme, with food, crafts, vendors, promotional give-aways and activities for children of all ages. For more information, visit online at http://leavingeden.wix.com/leavingeden-rockfest.
