Bank robbed in Haverhill

HAVERHILL — A TD Bank, 153 Merrimack St., Haverhill was robbed today at 11:50 a.m.

The robber, shown here, passed a note and got away with an undisclosed amount of money. He fled on foot via Merrimack St., away from Washington Square.

He was wearing a maroon jacket, sweatpants, work boots, gray multi-color winter hat with strings hanging. He is described as between 40 and 50 years old, unshaven, about 5-feet, 7-inches tall, weighing about 190 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Haverhill police at 978-373-1212 where they can leave an anonymous tip. The bank robbery is being investigated by Detective Sgt. Meaghan Buckley and Detective Penny Portalla.
