Somebody Cares will distribute groceries to 200 families on Dec. 19. Families who previously registered with the Somebody Cares Food Pantry will be receiving Christmas presents for their children on Dec. 21. Seniors, sign upfor yoga classes
LONDONDERRY — The Londonderry Senior Center and Greater Londonderry YMCA host yoga classes for the senior community.
Barbara Scott and Lisa Kress will lead the eight-week series of affordable classes designed especially for those 55 and older. Classes will focus on flexibility and strength as well as helping maintain well being. Sign up for Tuesday or Thursday classes or both. New sessions begin the week of Dec. 31 and are held from 9 to 10 a.m. at the YMCA, 106 Rockingham Road.

Spring semester starts Jan. 22 at NECC
HAVERHILL — The spring semester at Northern Essex Community College begins Wednesday, Jan. 22, and it’s not too late to register for courses that will lead toward a degree or a certificate.
Northern Essex offers over 70 associate degrees and certificates. Classes and programs are offered days, evenings, weekend, and online.
Campuses are in Haverhill and Lawrence. Walk-in hours for interested students are available Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Friday from noon to 4:30 p.m. in Haverhill (Behrakis One-Stop Student Services Center, 100 Elliott St.) or Lawrence (Dimitry Building, 45 Franklin St.)

Lancers, Monarchs team up against cancer
LONDONDERRY — The Londonderry Lancers and Manchester Monarchs are teaming up to help fight breast cancer.
