Past Finders summer program announced
Registration is open for the 2014 Past Finders program at the Buttonwoods Museum.
Sessions are one week long and meet Tuesday through Friday. Children may sign up for one or both sessions. Morning drop-off begins at 9 a.m. and pickup is at 4 p.m.
Session 1, Come Sail Away, is July 8 to 11. The Merrimack River connected Haverhill to ports around the world. Haverhill-built vessels hunted whales, sailed the Pacific and transported exotic trade items from England, China and the West Indies. Campers will explore the Merrimack River as a resource and link to the world. Activities include fishing, exploring the Buttonwoods Trail, sailor crafts, cooking, and a field trip. Cost is $175.
