Trick or treat is Saturday in Haverhill

Little ghosts, witches and goblins will be combing the city’s neighborhoods on Saturday, when Haverhill has its annual trick or treat.

The event’s hours are 5 to 7 p.m.

Police ask drivers to be extra careful during that time when children are going door to door to collect candy.

Discount tickets for All Aboard Auction Gala still available

The Team Haverhill organization has extended its discount for tickets to its All Aboard Auction Gala for an additional week.

Early bird tickets can be purchased for $40 each at www.teamhaverhill.org until midnight on Friday. Starting Saturday, tickets are $50 each, while available. The Auction Gala is Nov. 16 at the Haverhill Country Club, 58 Brickett Lane. Doors open at 6 p.m.

This event will feature a live and silent auction to help Team Haverhill meet its goal of raising $25,000 to match Pentucket Bank’s $25,000 contribution towards the Art Walk at the Bradford Rail Trail. With Matt Noyes as the auctioneer, the money raised will allow Team Haverhill to commission the Art Walk, in partnership with Pentucket Bank. The Art Walk will feature several large, permanent sculptures and several smaller sculptures that will likely rotate.

The Auction Gala, also sponsored by Pentucket Bank, will include a dinner and live entertainment by members of Spotlight Playhouse. For more information, visit online at www.teamhaverhill.org or email artwalkbrt@teamhaverhill.org.

Psychic readings Thursday at castle

Winnekenni Castle will host an evening of psychic readings tomorrow from 6 to 9:30 p.m.

Readers will be on hand inside the castle for appointments. The castle’s regular readers, Judith-Anne, Valeria and Kuri, will be joined by special guest reader of the month, Terri Bessette, a specialist reader of cards and runes.

Cost is $20 per 15-minute reading. Multiple appointments may be purchased to create longer blocks of time with the readers. Appointments are booked at the door only. Doors open at 5:55 p.m. Guests are permitted to purchase later-hour appointments, leave the castle and then return in time for their session. Socializing before and after appointments in the castle’s main hall is welcomed. Refreshments will be available.
