Collin is battling Scleroderma, a group of diseases that affect connective tissue that supports skin and internal organs.
Scott and his wife, Lisa, will be putting their lives on hold this coming January when Scott travels to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to undergo a double lung transplant.
Scott’s family and friends are holding this fundraiser to help with the medical expenses related to his condition and his upcoming procedure. This event, titled “Lungs for Scott,” will include door prizes, music, silent auction items, raffles, food and a cash bar. Tickets are $10 at the door. Donations can be made to the “Lungs for Scott” account at the Georgetown Savings Bank, 2 East Main St.
If you would like to make donation of an item for the raffle table or silent auction, contact Kathy Collin before Nov. 10 at 978-352-2276. Learn more about Scott Collin at www.youcaring.com/lungsforscott. Learn about the effects of Scleroderma at www.scleroderma.org.
