Armenian Church to hold Autumnfest

The Armenian Church at Hye Pointe in Haverhill will hold its annual two-day Autumnfest on Friday from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 7 p.m. in the church hall,110 Main St.

Armenian specialties include paklava, cream and nut khaddeyif, choreg (sweet rolls), kufta, tourshi (Armenian pickles) and spinach pie. An Armenian cuisine table will offer many more specialties. Shish-kebab, losh-kebab, chicken-kebab and kheyma dinners will be served throughout both days. Gift baskets and other raffle items will be featured. Visit online at www.hyepointearmenianchurch.org.

Pink flamingos on the way

Haverhill High School’s Hockey Boosters are holding their fourth-annual pink flamingo fundraiser now through Nov. 17.

Flamingos might appear anywhere on front lawns. Residents are asked not to harm the birds, which will roost for 24 hours. If you would like to specify the next person’s (or victim’s) lawn, follow instructions attached to the bird. You can purchase a single flamingo for $10 or a flock of flamingos to send to anyone within the city. If you purchase a flock of three or more you will be entered into a drawing to win $100.

Church plans holiday fair

GROVELAND — St. James Episcopal Church will hold its annual Holiday Fair on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Parish Hall at 119 Washington St., Groveland.

Folk icon to perform at New Moon

Folk icon Garnet Rogers will perform at the New Moon Coffeehouse on Nov. 16 at 8 p.m.

The coffeehouse is located in the Unitarian Universalist Church, 16 Ashland St. Admission is $20 and $10 for ages 18 and under. Opening act is the musical duo Stefilia’s Stone.
