Run to Overcome is Nov. 10
The St. James 5K Run/Walk, the “Run to Overcome” will be held on Sunday at 10 a.m. starting at St. James School, 415 Primrose St.
This event benefits the Haverhill Alternative School and TEACH programs at St. James. Students in both programs have had to overcome various learning and emotional challenges. Their success will be celebrated through this 5K fundraising event by supporting academic and social activities at the school.
Participants are asked to dress in red, white and blue to honor veterans and raise money for students. Both the Haverhill Alternative School and the TEACH Program have been supporting hundreds of at-risk students for more than 12 years. This event will include plenty of good food and beverages. The race will be officially timed and medals will be given to the top three place winners in various age categories.
Free t-shirts will be given to the first 200 people to register.
