Event will help local man who lost legs in crash

Friends and family of Anthony Spinelli of Haverhill will hold a "Spinelli Strong" fundraiser on April 27 from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Gaythorne Hall, 462 Broadway, Methuen.

Spinelli, 21, was involved in a near fatal accident on Oct. 19, 2013, that resulted in the loss of both of his legs. Money raised will help him obtain high-tech prosthetic legs. This event is open to the public and will include a hot and cold buffet, desserts, refreshments and a cash bar. Music is by DJ Ralphie B and singer/guitarist Tom Towler. Raffle items include home goods, Red Sox tickets, a flat screen television, one-week stays at Salisbury beach and Mount Sunapee, teeth whitening treatment, tee time for four at the Atkinson Country Club, lottery scratch tickets, liquor baskets, restaurant and store gift certificates, ceramic tile installation and materials valued at $1,000 and more.

Tickets are a suggested donation of $20 at the door and $10 for students. For more information or for advance tickets, contact Paula at 978-729-1290 or Nick at 978-457-0009.
